Margie Louise Fite was born July 27, 1927 in Little Rock, Arkansas and passed away May 20, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Norman & Marie Blasingame; brothers;Norman Blasingame Jr, Hester (Hess) Blasingame; her beloved first husband, John W “Bill” Bishop, III and second husband, Kenneth Fite.
Margie is survived by her sons, John W Bishop IV, Robert E Bishop; daughter in law, Donna Marie Bishop; grandsons, Robert E Bishop J (Robby), Bryan D Bishop; granddaughter, Holly Louise Bishop; great grandson -Austin B Cruz; great granddaughter, Lillian Marie Cruz (Lillie); sister, Bonnie McClain; brother; the families of Norman Jr. and Kenneth Fite; sister in law, Betty Coles & her children and grandchildren; niece; Joy Gregory , husband Earl Gregory & her children and grandchildren. She is also survived by many friends and their families who loved her.
She was known as “Mom, Nana and Margie”. She loved to live her life the way of the character Scarlett O’Hara in Gone with the Wind lived . She was a true survivor and tried to make the most of her life while she was here. She was a dynamic personality who loved her family, two sons, and a daughter in law. She doted on her twin grandsons , granddaughter, great grandson and great granddaughter . She stayed close to her sister and her family along with numerous friends. She had many interests in her life, decorating , gardening , cooking , family gatherings , going to Galveston and playing Bingo were among some .
Margie watched Hannity daily concerned about the changes in the world. She was a cancer survivor and struggled with diminishing eyesight forcing her to slow down.
She will be missed , but never forgotten.
