Maria Pelopida Frangou was born on October 23, 1927 in Vallejo, California, and passed away on August 2, 2026 in Dallas, Texas. She moved to Greece as a child, and in 1946 returned to the United States and settled in Dallas, Texas. She was a life-long member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Dallas.
Maria had a passion for life and will always be remembered for her friendliness to everyone she met. She particularly loved football and the Kansas City Chiefs, and chocolate.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon Foster of Connecticut, daughter Tracy Foster of Dallas, grandson Alexander Foster, nephew Perry Raptis, and nephew Chris Raptis and his daughters, Stephanie and Sarah. She was predeceased by her mother, Theodora Frangou, and her loving sister, Constance Raptis.
