

Maria S. Hernandez (Ms. Lucy), 70 years old of Dallas, TX passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 3:56pm in her home. Cause of death was Liver Disease. Ms. Lucy was born on September 4, 1946 in Seguin, TX to Antonio & Eliza Saldana Sr. Ms. Lucy married Hijinio Hernandez on November 23,1965 in Plainview, TX. She was Homemaker, Seamstress, babysitter to all family and friends. Ms. Lucy loved to sew and cook, thrift shop and be round family and friends but most importantly her crazy LGBT friends.Ms. Lucy was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Ms. Lucy was a feisty, straight forward, brutally honest, life of the party with a sailor’s mouth but still a woman of God, there was no one she wouldn’t lend support or help to. Ms. Lucy is Survived by Husband Hijinio Hernandez of Dallas, TX she also leaves behind her children Steven Hernandez of Dallas, TX, Carlos Hernandez of Cleburne, TX, Rebecca Novella Hernandez of Dallas, TX. She also leaves Grandchildren Victoria Marie Mendoza, Christine Nicole Martin, Bailey Joe Hernandez, Taylor Levi Hernandez, Peyton Bella Hernandez all from Dallas, TX. Ms. Lucy also leaves Great Grandchildren Adrian Rodrigues Jr., Andrew Oscar Hernandez, Alexis Flores, Trystan Bryan Aguilar, Alystine Velasquez. And her Siblings Antonio Saldana II, Suzy Guzman, Victoria Machado, Gloria Ortiz, Diane Ortiz, Luciano Saldana, Julia Ruiz, Leonora Leick, Carol Garza, Jeneva Porras and way too many nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws to name and a Tons of Friends. Ms. Lucy is Predeceased in death by her son Oscar Arthur Hernandez in 4/2006 and her Parents Antonio Saldana Sr. 3/2002 & Eliza Lozano Saldana 4/2004. A Catholic Mass and Blessing of Ashes will be on T.B.A at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3811 Oak Lawn Ave, Dallas, TX 75219. Reception to follow Immediately after Mass & Blessing of Ms. Lucy’s Ashes. Cremation was handled by Gonzalez Funeral Home. The Hernandez Family wants to Thanks all our Family and Friends for all your loving support and truly appreciate everyone during this difficult time.
