Our beloved daughter, sister, and friend Maria Conchita Lopez passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 and has gone to be with Jesus. Though greatly missed by those who love and cherish her, Conchita will live on in the hearts of countless people. For no matter what was going on in her life, she would always be there for anyone in need, both people and pets.. Everyone who knows Conchita, saw how she adored her parents and kept watch over them. She consistently put others before herself and was always concerned about helping even while confined to the hospital. Conchita attended Bishop Dunne High School and El Centro Community College. As President of Lopez Electric, she was instrumental in taking the family business started by her father, and developed an already American success story to even greater heights. She along with her brother, Ernesto, worked to carry on the business together for over 30 years. Before health issues slowed Conchita down, she was actively involved in politics, community, and any issue that affected our city, nation and world. Conchita is survived and remembered by her parents, Ernesto and Carmen Lopez, her brother, Ernesto Lopez and wife Birgitt, her sister, Carmen Weldon and her husband, John, brother-in-law, Raymon Ojeda, along with niece, Nina Ojeda, and nephews Eric Ojeda and James MacAndrew, and many other relatives in Mexico and Canada. She was met in Heaven by her sister, Doris L. Ojeda and her brother, Jose Luis Lopez. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home at 10:00 am. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dallas SPCA.
Arrangements under the direction of Calvary Hill Funeral Home, Dallas, TX.
