Maria Guadalupe Macias - Gutierrez

Beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, mother in-law and friend Maria Guadalupe Macias was called home to be with the Lord on September 16th 2025. She was born and raised in Ocampo, Guanajuato and came to the United States in the 70’s where she soon met her husband Evaristo Gutierrez Sr. at her place of work in 1980. Maria built her life and home in Dallas, TX and went on to have 8 children and 6 grandchildren who loved and cherished her.

Maria loved spending time with her family and especially seeing her grandchildren, they are her greatest joy. She found comfort in studying her Bible faithfully and enjoyed crocheting, playing lottery tickets, joking with her children, grandchildren and going to yard sales. She sure loved a great deal.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving mother who always put her children and grandchildren above all, she was a provider, a peacemaker, who was not only very funny and had a contagious laugh but she was also fearless, hard working, and caring with a beautiful soul who welcomed everyone into her home.

Though her passing leaves the deepest void in our hearts, we rejoice in the promise that she is now at rest with the Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:8 - “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”

She is preceded in death by her mother and father Francisco and Maria Macias, her grandparents Patricio Macias, Guadalupe Puente, and her sister Juanita Macias.

She is survived by her husband Evaristo Gutierrez Sr, her sons and daughters Gerardo, Juanita, Evaristo Jr., Araceli, Elizabeth, Yesenia, Selena, and Janet Gutierrez. Her daughter in-law Michelle Cortez, son in-law Ernesto Cruz Jr, her grandchildren Ariel Gutierrez, Ernesto Cruz III, Isaiah Gutierrez, Daniel Martinez, Isabella and Ileana Gutierrez, her brother and sister Teresa and Jose Macias, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A visitation for Maria will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A rosary will occur Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 231 N Marsalis Ave, Dallas, TX 75203. An interment will occur Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 1500 S Westmoreland Rd, DeSoto, TX 75115.

Amada hija, hermana, esposa, madre, abuela, tía, suegra y amiga, María Guadalupe Macías fue llamada a casa para estar con el Señor el 16 de septiembre del 2025. Nació y creció en Ocampo, Guanajuato y vino a los Estados Unidos en los años 70's, donde pronto conoció a su esposo Evaristo Gutiérrez Sr. en su lugar de trabajo en 1980. María construyó su vida y su hogar en Dallas, TX y tuvo 8 hijos y 6 nietos que la amaban y apreciaban.

A María le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y sobre todo ver a sus nietos, ellos son su mayor alegría. Encontró consuelo al estudiar fielmente su Biblia y disfrutaba tejiendo, jugando a la lotería, bromeando con sus hijos y nietos, disfrutaba ir a ventas de garage, donde seguro le encantaban las grandes ofertas.

Sus familiares y amigos siempre la recordarán como una madre amorosa que siempre puso a sus hijos y nietos por encima de todo, era una proveedora, una pacificadora, que no solo era muy divertida y tenía una risa contagiosa, sino que también era valiente, trabajadora, cariñosa y con una alma hermosa, que recibía a todos en su hogar.

Aunque su fallecimiento deja el vacío más profundo en nuestros corazones, nos regocijamos en la promesa de que ahora descansa con el Señor. 2 Corintios 5:8 - “Estar ausente del cuerpo es estar presente con el Señor”.

Le precedieron en la muerte su madre y su padre Francisco y María Macías, sus abuelos Patricio Macías, Guadalupe Puente y su hermana Juanita Macias.

Le sobreviven, su esposo Evaristo Gutiérrez Sr; sus hijos e hijas Gerardo, Juanita, Evaristo Jr., Araceli, Elizabeth, Yesenia, Selena y Janet Gutiérrez; su nuera Michelle Cortez; su yerno Ernesto Cruz Jr; sus nietos, Ariel Gutiérrez, Ernesto Cruz III, Isaías Gutiérrez, Daniel Martínez, Isabella e Ileana Gutiérrez; su hermano y hermana Teresa y José Macías, así como muchas sobrinas, sobrinos, familiares y amigos amorosos.

Se llevará a cabo un Velorio para María, el Miércoles 24 de Septiembre de 2025 de 4:00pm a las 8:00 p. m. en González Funeral Home, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. El Rosario será el Miércoles 24 de Septiembre del 2025 de 6:30 p. m. a 7:30 p. m., 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS. TX 75247. Se realizará una Misa de entierro cristiano, el Jueves 25 de Septiembre de 2025 de 10:00 a. m. a 11:00 a. m. en la Iglesia Católica Blessed Sacrament, 231 N Marsalis Ave, Dallas, TX 75203. Seguido por el entierro, el Jueves 25 de Septiembre del 2025 de 12:00 p. m. a 1:00 p. m. en el Cementerio Holy Redeemer. 1500 S Westmoreland Rd, DeSoto, TX 75115.
