Maria Ray

Maria Ray, 89, went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2022 in Wylie, TX. She was born January 7, 1933 in Bagnoli, Italy to Michele Paloscia and Anna Formicola. Maria grew up in Bagnoli before meeting and marrying the love of her life, Tommy Wayne Ray in 1966. The couple had three wonderful children together. In her spare time Maria enjoyed playing games such as bingo and farkle, she really loved going to the casino, cooking for her family, but her greatest joy was time spent with her family. Her family will always remember her remarkable cooking, how outgoing and social she was, and her giving spunky full of life attitude.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her beloved husband, Tommy. Left to cherish her memory are her children, D’Anna Lockett, Michele Ray and wife Shana, and Roberta Bansemer and husband Ryan; grandchildren, Crystal, Brooke and husband Jacob, Nina and husband Austin, Dale, Sam, and Macie; great-grandchildren, Niya and Kayson.

A visitation for Maria will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A committal service will occur Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228.
