Marian “Sug” Carr, a lifelong resident Dallas Texas, was born September 18, 1919 and went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2020. Sug was a 1935 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and managed the Alumni Center at Southern Methodist University for 28 years. Sug was a long-time, faithful member of Wilshire Baptist Church.
Sug was preceded in death by her husband, James A Carr, parents Lynn A and Annie Coleman Wyatt, brothers Lynn A, Jr and Author Wyatt and daughter Vicki Carr Sims. She is survived by granddaughters Tricia Sims Roth, Tina & her husband Chipiri Glaspie and their daughters Keira and Zoe all of Dallas, as well as son-in-law Larry Sims of St. Louis, Missouri.
A graveside service was held at Grove Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the benevolence fund at Wilshire Baptist Church.
