Marianne Laura Kluesner Hinton, 65 born January 2, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ December 26, 2011.She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Charles M. Hinton, Jr., her sons Chuck and John, their wives Leah Lobb Hinton and Joanna Underwood Hinton, respectively, her granddaughter Hunter Kiana Hinton and grandson Roman Archer Hinton and many other cousins, nephews and nieces who love her greatly.
Marianne spent her life serving others with a joyful heart. She was a dedicated wife, mother and nurse. She loved to cook big meals and bake for her family. She was always ready to listen when someone needed a shoulder and was quick with her wit and full of funny stories. She was a woman of faith. She surrounded herself with the artwork of her grandchildren, prized family photos and beautiful images of Jesus. She prayed faithfully and could always be seen with a rosary nearby.
She was of Italian and German decent. She was quick to use little Italian phrases or words to impart her love and affection on all she knew. There were no strangers in her home as everyone who entered called her Mom. She was a beautiful woman and the beauty of her spirit lives on with all who knew her.
She was preceded in death and will be welcomed in heaven by her parents Martin J. Kluesner and Jean D’Aversa Kluesner, her brother Richard J. Kluesner and her sister Debbie Kluesner and loving mother-in-law Lois Brewster Hinton as well as a wagging pack of labradors who have been waiting in heaven for mama kisses.
Marianne, "Mommy, Gammy", was the back bone of the family. She was counselor, teacher, best friend, and mentor. Her strength is present even now -- keeping her beloved family together until they meet again in Heaven.
"Death opens a door out of a little, dark room (that's all the life we have known before it) into a great, real place where the true sun shines and we shall meet." C.S. Lewis
