She was born in Corvallis, Oregon on June 13, 1917. She was married to John William Lanius, MD who predeceased her in 1983. Their home was in Dallas, Texas after WWII and Marie relocated to Snohomish, Washington in 2005.
They were charter members of the Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas where Marie volunteered in the nursery and delivered flower arrangements to the sick and homebound. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Two of her children, Peggy Davis, and John Walter Lanius, MD. , predeceased her. She is survived by her Son, Robert Andrew Lanius and by grandchildren, John Walter. Lanius, Jr., Sharon Elaine Lanius LaBarge, Debra Jean Lanius McGuire, Christi Davis Markiel, and Craig Michael Davis and 10 Great Grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4th, 10:00am at the Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, Texas.
