Marilyn Joan Withey
August 24, 1940 – December 17, 2018
Marilyn Joan (Segrato) Withey, 78, of Dallas, Texas, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease, passed from this world on December 17, 2018, in Plano, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas George Withey, her parents Anthony Segrato and Bridget (Cappadona) Segrato, her sister, Virginia (Segrato) Deeken, and brother-in-law E. H. (Deek) Deeken. She is survived by her four children: Sharon (Jeff), Susan (Mark), Stephen (Lori), and Anne (Sunny). “Mimi” will be lovingly missed by her thirteen grandchildren: Sean (Morgan), Megan, Alyssa, Heather, Claire, Luke, Kate, Sarah, JohnPaul, Alexandra, Sydney, Sophia, and Sunshine; and one great-grandchild, Kason.
Marilyn was always a happy and vibrant person, and exemplified this in everything she did. Growing up in Houston, she attended St Agnes High School, and St Thomas University. She met and married Tom Withey. After moving several times, they finally settled in Dallas, TX where they were members of St. Patrick`s Catholic Church. She was also a very successful business woman as a Senior Sales Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics and volunteered at the White Rose Women's Center. She is fondly remembered by her many friends, co-workers, and church members.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, 10 am, January 4, 2019, at St Patrick's Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale Rd, Dallas, TX, with a reception following, and a special video of her life presented by her son-in-law Sunny Lohden. Internment will take place at the Segrato family plot at 10 am, January 5, at Forest Park, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
