Marisol was born May 5, 1975, in Torreon, Mexico to Mauro Alvarez and Soledad Pena. She was the eldest of three children.

Marisol retired from Dallas Community College, where she advised and assisted many students in achieving their career goals. Her steady guidance and thoughtful support reflected the care she extended to others throughout her life.

Marisol met Cesar Sena in 1992 and they married in 1993. During their 32 years together, they raised two boys, Cesar Alexander Sena and Cesar Angel Sena.

Marisol loved to travel, thrift shopping and spending quality time with her family. These simple joys, shared with the people she loved most, were among the many ways her warmth and spirit shone through.

Marisol is survived by her husband, Cesar, their children Alex and Angel, her siblings, Vanessa and Jennifer, Her parents Soledad and Mauro, as well as Sophie.

She is most remembered for her infectious laugh, that often made even the darkest of days, feel bright.
