Marjorie Young Hardy, 84, of Dallas, died Sunday, June 10, 2012. She is survived by her son Paul B. Hardy of Dallas, daughter Karen Hardy Bryant and husband, Drew of The Colony, and daughter Marilyn Hardy Ellington and husband, Jerry of Sugar Land, grandchildren Bailey Bryant, Priscilla and Katie Ellington, and 1LT David B. Ellington of White Sands Missile Range, NM as well as two nieces and six nephews, their children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
husband of 54 years Bill B. Hardy who died in 2005, her sisters Gertrude Young Emery, Doris Young Bollinger, and Dorothy Young Caveness, and cousin Peggy Dougherty Goad. A 1945 graduate of Highland Park High School, she attended Hockaday Junior College and SMU where she pledged Gamma Phi Beta. The family will receive friends Friday, June 15th from 7pm to 9pm at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 pm on Saturday, June 16th at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home. Burial will be at Restland.
