Marjorie Blackburn Jones

Marjorie grew up in Tulsa and she and her twin sister, Marianne, were well known as the Blackburn Twins. They entertained with their dancing on many occasions.

They attended Tulsa Central High School where they were cheerleaders. The twins also attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. They attained degrees in Interior Decorating through the homemaking department. Marjorie graduated magna cum laude and was voted Who's Who in College.

Marjorie married Cliff Henderson after they graduated from college. Their family grew with the addition of daughter Lisa Anne, son Clifford Craig and son Grant William. They raised their 3 children in Wichita Falls, TX.

Marjorie was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed having family and friends in their lovely homes. She and Cliff were divorced in the late 70’s and she later married her high school sweetheart Oakah Jones. They lived in Indiana and retired in Albuquerque, New Mexico, an area they both loved.

Marjorie and Cliff raised their kids in the First Presbyterian church in Wichita Falls. They were all active in the church and community. She was a member of Jr. League and got Lisa involved where they shared the love of gardening. She loved to cook, play bridge, paint and volunteer in town. She was an avid tennis player and ping pong player. She loved to travel and saw much of the world. The entire family shared the enjoyment of dancing and social events. Marjorie was a sweet, compassionate, talented lady who lived by a strong faith. She saw time with her family as the best part of life! She was responsible for teaching her children many life lessons which they all carry forward in their own lives.

Marjorie raised her kids, then went on to be a respected home builder in the Tanglewoood area of Wichita Falls. She retired when she married Oakah.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Bernie Blackburn, Her twin sister Marianne Williams, Her brother, Bob Blackburn and her husband Oakah Jones.

She is survived by her children Lisa Henderson O'Harra and husband Jon O'Harra, Craig Henderson and wife Kathy Henderson, Grant Henderson and wife Jill Henderson. Her grandchildren Peyton Henderson Popp and husband Alex Popp, William Henderson, Christopher Henderson, Charli Henderson Pels and husband Jeff Pels and Greggory Vickers and wife Brittany Vickers. Her great grandchildren: Henry Popp, Hadley Popp, Harper Popp and Lucas Pels. Her step son Chris Jones and wife Debbie Jones. Her step grandaughters Holly Jones and Autumn Jones. Her step daughter Marcia Jones and Step granddaughter Beau DeBois and Brynn DeBois. Her niece Margie Williams and nephews Robert Williams and Ray Williams, nephews Bill Blackburn and Jim Blackburn, stepson Reno Gustafson and wife Debbie Gustafson.
