Marjorie was born on July 28, 1922, at Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of Leland and Alice (Lane) Ingham. Marjorie was united in marriage to Charley Eugene Olmstead on September 7, 1944 at Waverly, Iowa. She worked as a Nurse Aide in hospitals and later for over 20 years in medical offices in Dallas.
She was blessed by God with great musical ability as a hymn writer and poet. She served in her church leading Children’s choir, church pianist and organist. She loved her Lord above all and then her family with the unconditional love of God.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Eunice Marilyn Harvey and Mary Beth Langston, 6 grandsons, Lucas Olmstead, Matthew Olmstead, Robert Alsbrooks, David Sechrest, Timothy Olmstead and Billy Harvey, 3 granddaughters, Mary Bennett, Betty Castellani and Katherine Hilliard, and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charley Eugene Olmstead, 2 Sons, Timothy Wayne Olmstead and Keith Douglas Olmstead, 1 grandson, Marcus Olmstead, 3 brothers, Merwyn, Willard and Vincent Ingham and 2 sisters Ethel Jane Foutch and Mary Eileen Mead.
