

Beloved wife and grandmother. She was born in Havana, Cuba on October 24th, 1939, and passed away peacefully on January 14, 2011. She was a graduate of SMU Business School, and lived in Dallas and Mexico most of her life. She was a very intelligent lady who directed and managed companies in the oil and construction businesses, and built a large accounting company in Mexico which was turned over to her employees upon her return to Dallas in 2001. She will be remembered also by all who she touched with her charities and work to help the elderly and less fortunate. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Juan, and her loving children Joseph, John, Lisa Michael, Richard, and Elisabeth, her loving sister Irma Heria, and her grandchildren, son-in-law GianCarlo, and daughters-in-law Carla & Ashley, and also Alma. She also leaves behind her dear friend Ana Salas. Marta enjoyed life to the fullest, and enjoyed travelling with her family and visiting friends in all four corners of the world. She was a philanthropist and sponsor of young artists. A memorial service is set for 12:00, Saturday, January 22nd, at Sparkman-Hillcrest Chapel East, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX,75225. A reception will follow at The Bonaventure, 5200 Keller Springs Road, Dallas, Texas, 75248. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to a charity of your choice.
