Martha Louise "Weesie" Hackler, age 89 of Longview, passed away on August 18, 2016. She was born on September 19, 1926 in Dallas, the daughter of Rufus and Bessie Pierce. Martha Louise married A.T. Hackler and they celebrated 57 years of marriage before his passing in December of 2009. Martha Louise retired from Strasburger and Price in Dallas.
Martha Louise is survived by her niece and caregiver Beverly Hodges and husband Bobby of Longview, niece Linda Cox of Ennis; great niece Andromeda Harris and husband Rob of McKinney; great nephews Robert Santillan of Dallas and James Cox of Ennis; 5 great great nieces and 2 great great nephews. In addition to her parents, Martha Louise is preceded in death by her husband A.T.; sisters Bessie Lee Cole and Susie Frances Williams; nieces Carolyn Cole and Cathy Durden. Martha Louise will be remembered for her loving heart of gold.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 22 from 6-8pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 23 at 2pm, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
