Martha "Susie" Morris was many things to many people. She was a daughter,a sister,a friend,a mother,a grandmother, and in later years G.G. as she liked to be called. figuring out a way to write this was very hard to do. She was never something you could just describe. She was more something you had to experience on your own. To truly understand why we valued her so much. And why so many others did too. From her co-workers, who might have been having a bad day. Which she brightened with a joke. To the mailman, who worked under the hot sun. Only to met by a little old lady, with a cold bottle of water. She gave everyone a special kind of love. Though she loved us all the same. The things Im gonna miss the most, are the things we all got to recieve. The warm welcoming smile, that found you at the front door as you came in. The tight bear hug you got before you left. Mostly it was the soft words she whispered in your ear, before she let you go. Those words were different for all us. But she made us each feel like the most important thing in the world. Sometimes you didnt even have to be there to feel important. In my case, all she had to do was pick me up from day care. And bring me flowers.(Inside joke). She was something else, and Im really not sure what Im gonna do without her. Im losing my mind just thinking about not being able to see or talk to her again. But then I hear her voice say...like she said so many times before. Cant lose something you never had. And Im reminded that she lives on through all of us. The things we say and the things we do. Aslong as we keep it 6's and 7's she lives on. So in the style of my grandma, and keeping it 6's and 7's. I end it with this.

Three sons left home, went out on their own, and prospered. Getting back together, they discussed the gifts they were able to give their elderly mother. The first said I built a big house for mama. The second said I sent her a mercedes with a driver. The third said I got you both beat. You remember how mama enjoyed reading the bible. And she cant see very well. So I sent her a remarkable parrot, that recites the whole bible. It took priests in the church twelve years to teach him. He is one of a kind. All mama has to do is name the chapter and verse. And the parrot recites it. 

Soon there after mom sent out her letters of thanks.

Milton she wrote one son. 
The house you built is so huge. I live in only one room, but I have to clean the whole house.

Gerald she wrote to another.
I am to old to travel. I stay most of the time at home. So I rarely use the mercedes and the driver is rude.

DEAREST DONALD she wrote to her third son.
You have the good sense to know what your mother likes. 

The Chicken was Delicious.

There will never be another you for me...I love and miss you so much grandma. Youve taken a piece of my heart as you go...that I can never get back.

Martha was one of the bright spots in this world. She was a great friend to me and I always knew she would have wisdom. She made me smile with stories of her husband, children and grandchildren. Thank you, God for an amazing person like Martha.

 We have lost a wonderful person; "a bright light" added to every day! Those of us who knew her, feel blessed to have been selected to enjoy her laughter and her wonderful jokes! My deepest sympathy to her family who now are suffering this great loss.

I don't remember much from growing up with you down the street,but I do remember your smile and laughter,even now I can hear your laugh echoing in my thoughts of you. What can I say about Martha - Funny, Feisty, Big Hearted and One who Loved her Family. Her smile brightened the day and those cards and jokes. What a Hoot!
My prayers and thoughts are with her Beloved Family.

We just know her as "Aunt Susie".We will miss her infectious laugh and sweet spirit.  I have these little frogs she has given me over a period of time and have such fond memories. We will miss her but will see her again in Heaven...no more pain, no more tears, and no more fears. We love you, Aunt Susie

David I was so sorry to hear about Susie. She was my favorite sister-in-law. I always remember her wonderful smile and positive outlook. She could make you forget your woes. God Bless you and your great family.

We knew her as Martha but I know she was Sue to her family. She always had a joke or a funny story. She loved her family & the stories she told on you! She also loved animals and had many stories about family pets. How she will be missed by all of us. My heart goes out to her family's loss. Just remember that she will be waiting for you.

Mrs. Martha! What a wonderful lady to have met and known. She had such a beautiful spirit and awesome sense of humor. For many years she ended her work day by stopping at my desk to share her famous "Joke of the Day" leaving me with tears in my eyes from laughter. You'll forever be in my heart Mrs. Martha! Loves & Hugs until we see each other again in Heaven!

Vivian, I am so sorry and I want you to know I am thinking of you and what you and your family must be going through right now. Please accept my condolences. I can only imagine how difficult this must be for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sally i'm sorry to hear about your loss of Martha my prayers are with you and your family.

Not enough good things to say about my Martha! If there were more people like her, the world would be SO much better! She was 'walking sunshine' !  I'm so thankful that God let me get to be one of her friends. Love & prayers to her special, BLESSED family.

We will never know another person as loving, funny and just plain wonderful as Martha. She was one in a million and I am so honored to have called her my best friend. She will be so missed! May she rest in peace with her Lord.
