Martha Collins Wall

Martha lived an extraordinary life devoted to serving people. With a heart for the afflicted, her mission was to be the hands and feet of Jesus. She never sought personal credit or praise in anything she did; she gave God all the glory. Countless lives were touched and changed by Martha’s loving kindness.

Martha was married for forty-two years to her husband, Charles B. Wall, who passed away in 1986. She worked side-by-side with him to build a successful manufacturing business that many jobs for people through Dallas-Ft. Worth for 25 years.

The job Martha relished the most was that of Mother. She was completely devoted to her daughter and son, their spouses, and grandchildren. When one of them emerged unscathed through whatever precarious situation they were going through, she reminded them that she had been praying non-stop for God’s protection over them.

During her final days, she explained to her family that since accepting the Lord as a little girl at the age of ten, she had let Him steer her life’s journey; she was just along for His wonderful adventure of a ride. She often said that if a life didn’t its have ups and downs, it wouldn’t be much fun. Her advice to everyone is to pray more often, care more deeply for others and share the Good News that “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

Now Martha is at peace and rejoicing in Heaven reunited with those that have gone before her. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Maas and son-in-law Jerry Maas of McKinney, her son, Charles B. Wall, Jr and daughter-in-law Franze Wall of San Antonio; four grandsons Jonathan Trantham, Justin Trantham, Charles B. Wall III and Alexander Collins Wall; and three sisters Ruth Blackburn of Austin, Dorothy Gharis of Dallas, and Fay Martinson of Austin.

A graveside memorial service will be held at noon on Friday January 16, 2015 at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please donate generously to Samaritan's Purse (www.samaritanspurse.org), a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ.
