Marvin married Frances Helen Knudsen on June 17, 1955, and they shared nearly 59 years together. Frances passed away in May of 2014.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Montgomery; son; Dean Christensen; and niece, Andrea Sherman.
Spending his early years in Omaha, Marvin joined the Army in 1948 and served the Korean War. He spent over 30 years working for the Union Pacific Railroad, and was an avid "railfan" his entire life.
Following his move to Texas in 1970, he was an active church member at Advent and Hope Lutheran Churches. He enjoyed sports (a Nebraska Cornhuskers fan) and gathering for breakfast with friends in his favorite restaurant. Marvin also was an animal lover, particularly his dogs, Fred and Sherman.
He will be missed by both family and friends. His was a life well lived!
