Marvin married Lorelei Weltman on June 11, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York. In 1958, Marvin worked for Fritz W. Glitsch & Sons on Singleton Blvd. in Dallas as a draftsman until 1983. He also worked part time as a Deputy, under Bill Decker, in the Dallas County Sheriff’s Dept. from 1958 -1984.
November 22, 1963, Marvin was working as part of the security, standing on the rooftop of the Dallas Market Center, awaiting President Kennedy and the First Lady’s arrival to the Presidential Luncheon. Marvin and the rest of the team were immediately called to the Sheriff’s Dept. office to disperse downtown, combing the streets providing security and blockades, while FBI and all the law enforcement agencies joined forces to look for the assassin(s). That was his most memorable day in his law enforcement career.
