November 8, 1931 -- November 3, 2023
Glasgow, Scotland
It is with heavy hearts that we share, on November 3rd, 2023 Myra Ballantyne passed away in Dallas, Texas, her home for 62 years. Myra’s courageous battle during the last few months was so hard fought, any warrior would be so proud.
Myra was a beloved Mum, Daughter, Niece, Sister, Auntie, Gran, and Great-Gran. Loving survivors in Texas include 2 sons Duncan (Cheralyn), David (Toni), grandchildren, Douglas, Thomas, Reid, Abbey, Nieces Catherine, Fiona, and Davina, with many more loving relatives throughout Scotland and the USA.
Myra may have been small but how mighty she was. Myra’s heart was as large as Texas and Scotland combined, she never failed to wish well upon another so graciously, she loved her friends and family near and far. How dearly she loved her sons who cared for her so affectionately.
Myra’s strength was unmeasurable, she did not want to leave us, but Allan, her Mum and Dad and siblings wanted Myra’s company once again. It has been 23 years since Myra and Allan were together and that union is now complete, once again. They are embracing finally and forever.
Visitation will be Thursday November 9th 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Friday November 10th beginning at 2:00 p.m.
