Mary "Maxine" Archer Mann

Maxine was born March 4, 1942 in Dallas. She loved spending time with her family: her parents, Max and Frankye Archer, and her brother, Jerry Archer. She was a 1960 graduate of South Oak Cliff High School. Following graduation, she began working as an accountant, married, and had two children: Glenn and Shelly. Maxine truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: gardening, cooking and baking, and spending time with her family. Maxine was so kind and loved to care for everyone around her, family and strangers alike. She enjoyed staying busy by working in her home, shopping, and spending time with her family, even into the last few months of her life.

She is survived by her children, Glenn (Debbie) Mann and Shelly (David) Fincher, her grandchildren, Tiffany (Shaun) Smith and Taylor (Greg) Bradford, great-grandchildren Adrian Smith and Jessie Jean Bradford, and several cousins.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Maxine touched are invited to attend visitation and funeral services at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W Northwest Hwy, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Visitation will be held 12:30-2:00 pm with the funeral and burial services immediately following at 2:00 pm.
