

In the early hours of May 2nd, Mary Duvall Barnard, of Dallas, Texas, peacefully passed into the arms of her Savior. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Faith, love and joy were the core of her and she spent her life sharing that with others.
Born in Ft. Worth, Texas on October 22, 1933 to Loda Adelia Ferguson and Martin Duvall, most of her early childhood was spent on 2nd Ave in Arlington, Texas with her older brother, Martin Duvall, deceased. In addition to her parents, she was surrounded by the love and attention of five aunts. Mary graduated from Paschal High School of Ft. Worth in 1951. She attended Baylor University and The University of Texas. In 1955, she married her high school sweetheart, Herbert M. Barnard, Ph.D.
Besides her husband, Mary is survived by a daughter, Sharon Barnard Woolmington, and a son, Franklin Martin Barnard, five grandchildren and one great grandson. Sharon is married to Bob Woolmington of Circle 23 Ranch in Buena Vista, Colorado. Their children are Rebecca Woolmington Hahn married to Marko Hahn with son, Robert Samuel Hahn of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Jessica Woolmington of Buena Vista, Colorado and W. Taylor Woolmington of Buena Vista, Colorado.
Frank is married to Beth Taylor Barnard, living in Garland, Texas. Their son, Adam Franklin Barnard is married to Emily Cheves Barnard of Durham, North Carolina. Their daughter, Caroline Barnard lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 8 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the North Texas Food Bank, 4500 S. Cockrell Hill Road, Dallas, TX 75236, 214.330.1396, www.ntfb.org.
