

Mary Ann Bishop-Hebel was born on November 14, 1943 in Butler, Pennsylvania and passed on April 20, 2014 In Dallas, Texas. She is survived by son, Brian Bishop along with his wife, Debra; son, Dennis Bishop along with his wife Jenny and her beloved grandchildren, Jacey, Madison, Joshua.
MaryAnn held a long and distinguished career in banking services. She was a 40 year veteran of financial services and widely- respected voice in the operational and regulatory matters affecting the banking industry. She started out as a teller at State National Bank in Odessa, Texas and worked her way up to Executive Vice President of Heritage National Bank in Austin, Texas. She held many positions in her early years. MaryAnn worked for the state of Texas banking commission as a regulator and for other banking entities in several states. She located assets, managed the liquidations and she worked to clean up errant trust companies.
In 2007 MaryAnn co-founded the Business Bank of Texas, NA. MaryAnn was the Executive Vice president, CFO, Board Secretary and the bank’s security officer. She put into place the banks operating practices. She was an original director, organized shareholders, and was an inspiration behind the success of the bank.
In 2011 Mary Ann was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Southwest Automated Clearing House Association Services Corporations. She was also very active in the business community as a member of the Texas Women’s in Business Association. MaryAnn’s Christian principals always guided her as she managed her staff and her responsibilities. Her legacy will always be present at Business Bank of Texas and among the business community.
Most of all she was “Grammy” to her three grandchildren and will be missed greatly by them.
