Mary Catherine Bryson

Mary Catherine (Stafford) Bryson, born February 10, 1932 in Stratford, Oklahoma, passed away on January 2, 2015 in Dallas, Tx. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Modena Stafford; her brother, Jimmy; her husband of 34 years, Isaac “Newt” Bryson; and her previous husband, Burl L. Clinton. She is survived by three children, Colleen Norton, Cheryl L. McCurtain and Burl L. Clinton Jr.; her sister, Pat Davis; two grandchildren, Danielle Yaryan and Maree-Elaine Sutton; three great grandchildren, William, Alexa and Ashleigh; two stepsons, Newton and Peter; a step-granddaughter, McKenzie St. Regis (and her son Bryson); and several nieces and nephews, Zach, Tiffany, “Skipper”, Vickie, and Kim. Mary was a resident of Casa Linda estates for sixty year; was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; and, was a dedicated employee of Southwestern Bell (AT&T) for over forty years. Mary enjoyed spending her free time with her family; and, she (and Newt) were avid square dancers, both being past presidents of the Stone Stepper SQ and RD and the Rambling Rounders. Mary and Newt enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe and took numerous cruises. The family will receive friends, Monday, January 5, 2015, from 6:00 until 8:00pm, at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held, 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas. Pallbearers are Jeff and Zach Davis, David Sutton and Brett Lowe.
