Mary Jean Green, age 85, passed away on May 1st 2026 at home in Garland, Texas. She was born on May 6th 1940 in Dallas, Texas to Henry Grady Burlew and Estelle Trice Burlew. Mary was raised in Dallas Texas and attended Woodrow Wilson High School in 1958.
She married Jimmy Green in 1966 and the couple had 2 children. She was a preschool teacher at St. Pius X Catholic Church where she worked for several years.
In her spare time Mary enjoyed daily mass, reading, listening to Elvis and Blues recordings, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her father Henry Grady Burlew, her mother Estelle Burlew, and her twin sister Martha Cash. She is survived by her husband Jimmy Green, her sons Jamie Green, Shawn Green, her sister Joan Brown, and many cousins and nieces and nephews.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a devoted wife and mother.
