Mary was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and recently a great grandmother. Mary grew up in the Cedar Hill and Duncanville area. She graduated Duncanville High School in 1968. In addition to being a great student, Mary was busy in other activities such as the DHS High Hats Drill Team.
For most of her boys life, she raised them by herself. Her sons Cory and Kevin were very close in age and very involved in soccer and other activities. Mary rarely missed a game or practice. Raising her two boys was a life mission to her.
Professionally, Mary worked in the accounting field, working in various industries from Aviation to Public Accounting and into the Construction industry. She was an accomplished Controller and could balance a multitude of tasks to keep an office running efficiently.
In her spare time, Mary enjoyed going to the lake house in Whitney more than anything. She practically learned to walk down at the lake. If she had a spare weekend, she was driving to the lake to enjoy a swim in the lake, followed by a beautiful sunset.
She worked hard through her years to provide for her family and to build and maintain a beautiful residence for herself. She was constantly planting flowers and had one of the prettiest backyard pool areas in her neighborhood.
Holidays with the family were always at Mary's house. Easter, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas was always enjoyed by all, with all of the food and sweets she cooked for the family. Her love of food can be seen today in the waistlines of her two sons.
Through the years, Mary was a devoted Christian. She read her bible and knew where her soul would be upon her passing. She would want her family to celebrate this time.
