Mary Jo Palomo, 79, passed away Sunday, April 5th. She was born in Denton, Texas on May 26, 1940. She is survived by her three children, Cynthia Martinez, Steven Palomo, and Geneva Gonzalez. She is also survived by her two brothers Salvador and Jesse Rojas, thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Rojas, her husband, Frank Palomo, her son and daughter, Frank Palomo Jr. and Mary Gonzalez as well sisters, Carmen Rojas and Geneva R. Clark, and brothers, Lupe and Paul Rojas.
Mary spent the majority of her youth in Denton, Tx. She ultimately married and settled in Dallas, Tx to Frank Palomo with whom she raised five children.
She worked as a translator at Parkland Memorial Hospital for many years and enjoyed getting to know new people every day. She was a very hard worker both at the job and in the home. She enjoyed country music and loved Elvis Presley.
When she retired, she always wanted to stay busy so she enjoyed spending more time with her family including her children, grandchildren and brothers.
She was a very giving person and a truly wonderful woman. She will be missed by all who had the opportunity to be a part of her life. Her family and friends will miss her until the day in paradise, when Jehovah calls her name and awakens her in the resurrection.
