Mary Elisa Lara

Mary Elisa Lara, 79, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 in Dallas, Texas. She was born September 25, 1942 in Dallas, Texas to Pedro and Elisa T. Aguirre. Elisa was raised in Dallas, Texas and attended/graduated from St. Ana's - St. Edwards.

She married Manuel R. Lara in 1965 and the couple had two children. She was a Librarian assistant for the Dallas Independent School District.

In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, stamp and paper crafts, reading and writing poems.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel R. Lara; and son, Ernie M. Lara.

She is survived by her son, Vincent and A. Lara; brothers, Pedro Aguirre, Jesse Aguirre and Ramon Aguirre; sisters, Dolores Fraga, and Rosemary Sanchez.

A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home and Crematory, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. A rosary will occur Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. An interment will occur Friday, March 11, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.
