Mary Joeanne Monroe went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2020. Joeanne was born in Torrance, CA on June 12, 1944. She eventually moved to Dallas, TX in 1971 but she always considered herself a California girl. She was married to Joe Monroe in 1972. Over the course of the next 30 years, she provided child care in her home to many wonderful children that she loved dearly.
In 2003, she welcomed her first grandchild and her world would never be the same. She didn't like to drive on the highways, but she spent the next 12 years driving from Oak Cliff to Allen to care for her boys. Some of her passions were the Texas Rangers, her children and grandchildren, her beloved dachshund Greta, and various cooking shows.
Joeanne is preceded in death by her husband of more than 40 years, Joe Monroe. She is survived by her daughter Wendi, her son Robert, daughter in law Kellie, and grandsons Greyson and Brandon. She leaves behind many friends that she considered family.
