Mary Ann Pace

Mary was born in Vernon, Texas on February 17, 1946 to Albert and Georgie. She was married to Lex for 41 years before his passing in January 2004.

Mary first worked for Melrose as a sewing machine operator before she began working at the school her daughter attended. Mary worked at Nathaniel Hawthorne Elementary (Pleasant Grove) as the student's favorite lunch lady for 12 years. She was so gracious and generous and was often seen sliding nickels and dimes to students to get their favorite treat. She then began working at Aloe Vera of America - Forever Living Products as a Supervisor until her retirement. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and giving them experiences to have everlasting memories.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Georgie Morris; brother, Johnny Morris; sisters, Linda Morris, Nancy Huddleston, and Betty Morris; nephews, Tim Morris and Ronald Morris.

Mary is survived by her only child, Nancy Duggan (Tyler) of Scurry, Texas; grandchildren, Chase Ellis (Talli) of Abilene, Texas, Lexi Duggan and Tres Duggan of Scurry, Texas; sisters, Carolyn Herbert of Odessa, Texas, Helen Beck of McKinney, Texas, Barbara Hoffman of Waco, Texas, June Mankin of Garland, Texas; brothers, Alton Morris of Midland, Texas and Alvin Morris of Happy, Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 10:30 am, followed by a service at 11:30 am. Burial will be held at Grove Hill Memorial Park on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 3:00 pm with Robert Waite officiating.
