Mary Frances Carr Pitts left this life to join her Lord on September 4, after ninety years of giving lovingly to her family, friends, church and community. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-four years, Uel Edwin Pitts. She was born February 11, 1923 in Dallas Texas to Joseph Bernard and Alice Kinney Carr. Mary Frances graduated from Ursuline Academy of Dallas in 1940 and later attended the University of Texas at Arlington. She was wed to Uel Edwin Pitts on May 25, 1943. Mary Frances was a devout Catholic and active in her church and the schools of her five children. She treasured her family and faith.She worked as a bookkeeper and accountant for several firms, most notably the Joe Foster Company. Mary Frances is survived by her five children: Terrance Joseph Pitts, his wife Patricia; Cheri Ann Amy her husband, Wayne; Uel Edwin Pitts II, his wife Paty; Allen Carr Pitts, his wife Ginger and Victoria Sue Lattner, her husband Doug. Eleven grandchildren: Michael McAleer Pitts, Carra Regina Brown, Brian Patrick Pitts, Jeffrey Bryant Amy, Scott Patrick Amy, Uel Edwin Pitts III, Ashley Lattner Young, Nicole Lattner Fox, Kathleen Elizabeth Pitts, Colleen Rosemary Pitts, and Philip Alexandrovitch Pitts; and seven great grandchildren: Caralyn Nicole Brown, Connor Timothy Brown, Catherine Elizabeth Amy, Nicole Frances Amy, Avery Elizabeth Pitts, Andrew Joseph Pitts and Wyatt Douglas Young. The Rosary will be led by Deacon Ken Reisor, Sunday, September 9, at 5 PM, Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway. A Memorial Mass will be held, Monday, September 10, 10 AM, Saint Thomas Aquinas Church, 6306 Kenwood Avenue, Dallas, Texas with Very Rev. John Libone, Celebrant.
