Mary Louise Prestidge

On December 29th, Heaven received the sweetest Angel "Honey Mama". Mary Louise Griffin Prestidge was born on September 27, 1921 in Dallas to John and Mary Griffin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Claude C. Prestidge and her brother, Don Griffin. Louise's proudest achievement and greatest joy in life was her family. She was not only a devoted wife, the best mother and cherished grandmother but a dear sister, wonderful aunt and true friend to many. Her encouragement, support and unconditional love will forever be remembered. Her sense of humor, strong character and kind heartedness will be missed by all of us.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Prestidge; and son, Claude Prestidge and his wife Pat. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Juli McMeans Perez, her husband, Eddy and their sons, Hunter and Ryder; Robyn McMeans Carter, her husband, Jeb and their two children, Shepherd and Carlisle; Corey Prestidge, his wife Amy and their children Caroline, Ford and Brooks; and Paige Prestidge. She is also survived by her most faithful companion, Charley; her sister, Johnnetta McLeroy; and a nephew, and 4 nieces.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, January 3rd 2012 at St. Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church, 8011 Douglas Avenue, Dallas. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation NE Texas Chapter 3102 Maple Avenue Suite 120 Dallas, Texas 75201.
