Your family is in my prayers. Mrs. Robertson was such a big part of our St. Pius school community when we were growing up. I can still see her in our original library, and then in the media center later. She was one of the reasons I found a love of reading, so I consider her partly responsible for me instilling that into my kids as well!

During my 20s and 30s, Mrs. Robertson was my mother-in-law.  We lived nearby and spent lots of time together.  We helped her and she helped us.  When we were out of town one week, she beautifully wallpapered our huge kitchen.  From her, I learned the tremendous benefits of living walking distance to your Catholic church and school.  For her family it was Saint Pius X, for my family it has been Saint Patrick.  My two children were her grandchildren and my four grandchildren were her great grandchildren.  
While her family prays for the repose of her soul this morning, I will pray the same sorrowful mysteries of the holy rosary in the Eucharistic Adoration Chapel at my church.  May her soul rest in peace.

Mary either worked or volunteered at St. Pius as the librarian since the early 60's.  She had a passion for literacy and getting books into the hands of the students.  She will be missed by all!

Mary was an inspiration to me in so many ways. We were neighbors for over 40 years. We were walking partners for about 20 years. Mary could sew beautifully. She made gorgeous quilts. She made blankets for newborn babies among other things.  She was a Christian whose devotion was a beautiful example for me.
