Mary Davis Schroeder

Mary Pearl Davis Schroeder, 89, of Dallas, Texas, passed on in Schertz, Texas on January 16, 2014 (her 67th wedding anniversary); She was born in town of Central City, Arkansas on September 7, 1924. Mary was preceded by husband of 51 years, Calvin T Schroeder in 1997. She graduated from Lavaca High School in Arkansas, served as an Army Nurse during World War II, a homemaker and volunteer. Cal and Mary were married in Carson City, Nevada on January 16th, 1947. They were members of St Philip Catholic Church in Dallas since 1953 and Mary was an active member of numerous church affiliated organizations to include Catholic Charities. Mary is survived by her 8 children: Pam Deuster of Salt Lake City, Utah, Ted Schroeder of Garland, TX, Pat Carnes of Heath, TX, Celia Romeo of Grand Prairie, TX, Susan Schroeder of Dallas, TX Byron Schroeder of Terrell, TX, Stephen Schroeder of Quinlan, TX and Michelle Darnell of Schertz, TX; along with 23 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren. Visitation 6:30pm followed by the Rosary at 7:00 pm, Sunday, Jan 19th in the Chapel of Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass is 11:00 am Monday Jan 20, 2014 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 8131 Military Parkway, Dallas. Entombment Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Rowlett, TX.
