Mary M. Ulloa, 81, passed away on March 12, 2026, at 9:05 p.m. Mary was a beloved, brave, compassionate, faithful, humorous, resilient, and adventurous woman who made her home in Dallas, Texas. Born July 29, 1944, Mary attended Thomas A. Edison Elementary and later, in her 40s, earned a GED with the help of her grandkids through interactive learning systems—an achievement that reflected her determined spirit and lifelong willingness to keep learning.

Mary was married to Alfonso B. Ulloa and was widowed in 2011. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and her 4 elder brothers. The youngest child and only daughter, Mary carried forward a legacy of strength, devotion, and steadfast love for family. Mary retired in 2009, closing a working chapter of life marked by perseverance and reliability. In retirement and beyond, she found joy in simple pleasures: trips to the casino, watching talk shows, gardening and yardwork, and surrounding herself with flowers—especially red roses, her favorite.

A Catholic woman of conviction, Mary always made an effort to vote and encouraged everyone to vote. She also encouraged those around her to have faith in God, offering comfort and perspective with her steady presence and her signature outlook: “Oh well, it is what it is.” Mary was always a good time to be around, sharing laughter with everyone. She encouraged her daughters to be independent, to work hard, and to never let obstacles stand in their way. Her love extended outward with generosity and warmth, leaving an enduring example of resilience, humor, and faith.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to grand daughter Aracely Ulloa Morales for quitting her job to care for grandma, a profound act of devotion and love that Mary will be remembered for receiving with grace and appreciation.

Nacida el 29 de julio de 1944, Mary asistió a la Escuela Primaria Thomas A. Edison y, más adelante, ya en sus 40 años, obtuvo el GED con la ayuda de sus nietos mediante sistemas de aprendizaje interactivo, un logro que reflejó su espíritu decidido y su disposición de por vida a seguir aprendiendo.

Mary estuvo casada con Alfonso B. Ulloa y enviudó en 2011. Le precedieron en la muerte su madre, su padre y sus 4 hermanos mayores. Como la hija menor y única mujer, Mary continuó un legado de fortaleza, devoción y amor inquebrantable por la familia.

Mary se jubiló en 2009, cerrando una etapa laboral marcada por la perseverancia y la confiabilidad. En la jubilación y más allá, encontró alegría en placeres sencillos: viajes al casino, ver programas de entrevistas, la jardinería y el trabajo del patio, y rodearse de flores, especialmente rosas rojas, sus favoritas.

Como mujer católica de convicción, Mary siempre se esforzaba por votar y animaba a todos a votar. También alentaba a quienes la rodeaban a tener fe en Dios, ofreciendo consuelo y perspectiva con su presencia serena y su frase característica: “Oh well, it is what it is”.

Siempre era un gusto estar con Mary, compartiendo risas con todos. Animó a sus hijas a ser independientes, a trabajar duro y a no permitir que los obstáculos se interpusieran en su camino. Su amor se extendía hacia los demás con generosidad y calidez, dejando un ejemplo perdurable de resiliencia, humor y fe.

La familia expresa su más sincero agradecimiento a su nieta Aracely Ulloa Morales por dejar su trabajo para cuidar a su abuela, un profundo acto de devoción y amor por el que se recordará a Mary, quien lo recibió con gracia y gratitud.
