Sister Mary attended her first Nation of Islam meeting under the leadership of Brother Carl
Muhammad (Southwest Regional Minister) in late 1992 at Mosque 48. After her very first
Sunday meeting, she asked if she could join the MGT class. She said she had heard so
much about the class and wanted to join along with her two daughters, Tina and Jean Nate.
Sister Mary proudly became an MGT in February, 1993 under Southwest Regional MGT
Captain Sister Carolyn Muhammad. She took being an MGT very seriously and was alert and
watchful at the meetings and during her travels to various states helping to secure Minister
Farrakhan and those in attendance. She walked her post in a perfect manner and was always
on the alert.
She was a fisher of men. She was often sought out for counsel and brought solace and calm to
people by many means. Sister Mary was known for playing tapes of Minister Farrakhan at her
music store in the Big T Bazaar. She not only played the tapes but also sold the tapes along
with The Final Call Newspaper. She impacted many people and had a positive effect on the
lives of many brothers and sisters.
Sister Mary loved the Nation of Islam and would defend her beliefs to anyone. She was a true
Believer, a wonderful Sister and a beloved Friend.
May Allah be pleased with Sister Mary Muhammad.
