MaryAnn Edwards
November 4, 1936 – March 8, 2023

MaryAnn Edwards, age 86, of Dallas, passed away peacefully March 8, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 4, 1936 to Virginia Garner Baskette and Ernest William Baskette. She graduated from Highland Park High School and went on to study to be a legal assistant at Southern Methodist University. On June 28, 1973, she married the love of her life, Jack Lee Edwards.
MaryAnn was an active member in numerous clubs and organizations including PTA, Garden Club, Book Club, Bridge Club, Kiwaniannes, American Business Women’s Association. Philanthropic Educational Organization, Roy Stanley Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Social Order of Beauceant-Past Supreme Worthy President.
MaryAnn was also a dedicated member of White Rock United Methodist Church where she coached various sports teams, played in the handbell choir, served on several committees and built lifelong friendships. She held a passion for charity work, entertaining, cooking, travel, gardening, reading, quilting, and music including singing, and playing piano. Not only was MaryAnn a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved spending time with her family, she was also a loyal and true friend to many.
MaryAnn is survived by her children Valerie Kuykendall, husband Bud, Ginnie Combs, spouse Suz Mycoskie and Marc Combs, wife Lana; her grandchildren, Maegan Bearden, husband Brent, Mallorie Copeland, husband Jason, Matt Kuykendall, wife Jamie, Garrett Combs, Grant Combs, and Grayson Combs; and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Jack Lee Edwards, her mother Virginia Garner Baskette and father Ernest William Baskette.
