Maxine Margaret George

Maxine Margaret George, age 83, passed away on September 20, 2022 peacefully in Balch Springs, Texas. She was born on March 22, 1939 in Bremond, Texas to Marion and Annie Snider. Maxine was raised in Bremond, Texas where she attended and graduated from Bremond High School in 1958.

Maxine married Herman Clifton George (Cliff) in 1966 and the couple was blessed with three (3) children: Kevin George, Julie Williamson and Kelly Owen. She was an employee of Braums Ice Cream and Dairy Store where she worked for over 10 years. In her spare time, Maxine enjoyed baking cookies and pies, spending time with her grandchildren, watching Hallmark movies and The Young and the Restless. Her family and friends will always remember her as a TRUE Dallas Cowboy's fan; above all she will be remembered for the loving mom and nana that she was.

Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Annie Snider; her sisters, Helen Garnier, Bobbie Fundernurk and Maryanne Robinson. She is survived by her children: Kevin George (son) and her daughters, Julie Williamson and Kelly Owen. Her grandchildren: Holly Owen, Lexie George, Justin Owen, Garrett Owen and Austin George. Her great grandchildren, August Isadore, Hunter Frederick, Natalie Owen Aaliyah Isadore, Elizabeth Isadore and Kynleigh Frederick. Her brother, Marion Snider, Jr.; her sisters, Bernice Palmer and Elizabeth (Liz) Ollmann plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Nana, you will always hold a special place in our hearts.

A gravesite inurnment will be held at Grove Hill Memorial Park on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 10am.
