Maxine Ulmer (Mackie to the family and Nana to the grandchildren) passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long and full life at the age of 87. She was born October 19, 1923 in Portia, Arkansas to George and Rosa Rogers.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband J. W. Ulmer. Survivors include her son Michael W. Ulmer and wife Molly, grandchildren Christopher M. Ulmer and wife, Rachel and Allyson L. Neal and husband Ryan, brothers George C. Rogers and wife, Pat and Brice Rogers and wife, Frances along with numerous nieces and nephews
Maxine will always be remembered for her kind disposition, sweet smile and devotion to her family and friends. The love she gave so unselfishly to her family will forever live in all of us.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday May 11, 2011 at Grove Hill Memorial Chapel with burial immediately following at Grove Hill Memorial Park. Visitation with family and friends will be held at 1:00 PM at Grove Hill just prior to the services.
