McKenzie was one of the first people I ever skated and bonded with in 7th grade during a tough move for me. We often enjoyed antics and fun time all through our neighborhood stirring up trouble and fun all over. We shared many memories growing up together and I eventually left our school district. During that time we both grew and changed. Later a few years before his departure we both randomly worked next door to each other and began bonding again through business and fun. His untimely death weighed extremely heavy on me and I will always miss his unique attitude and relaxed demeanor. After I left Texas I eventually got a tribute tattoo to the memorial of my friends lost including Mack, it helps me cope all the time.  I feel a paragraph of text cannot convey the feelings but... Miss you friend. Stay Eternal.

I didn't know McKenzie, but my partner, Roman Chavarrie, thought very highly of him and his dad and brothers.  Roman and McKenzie both strugglede but hopefully they're working out together again now.

"May the God of peace be with you" reads a beautiful necklace McKenzie gave me as a gift. The gift was not for a special occasion, just simply a random gift, which was not uncommon for him at all. This message has done so much for me since July 4th, the day I heard the news. I truly believe this was a God intended gift given 4 years ago to carry me and others through this very tragedy. Such a radiating personality with so much love to give. Not a day has gone by this past month that you have not been on my mind. 

Thoughts to all his family and friends. He played such a huge part in my life and I in his, and I can only pray God will give us all the courage to be the good McKenzie was in this world.

I met McKenzie when he came to Odessa to play golf. He always had a smile on his face and knew how to light up a room. He will be missed so much.

So very sorry for your loss...a beautiful soul whom I will remember for his priceless gifts of humor, hope, humility and kindness.  One of the most kindhearted young men I have ever known.  May McKenzie's light continue thru all of us that knew and cared for him.

I worked with McKenzie at Gold's Gym in Preston Center. He always knew how to bring a smile to my face even when I was having a bad day. His contagious laughter and personality will be deeply missed. You are finally reunited with your mom McKenzie and I know your so happy.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. McKenzie was a great golfer, good friend, and bright shining light to so many young people (now young men and young women) during his short life.  All of those who met or knew McKenzie will always remember his big smile and big heart. His loss will leave a void in the lives of the many friends McKenzie met along his way. I pray it comforts you to know that your McKenzie made a positive difference in so many of those lives and I pray it comforts you to know that he was well thought of by his peers and their parents who knew or met him on the golf course. When McKenzie was playing junior golf tournaments, everyone knew and loved McKenzie. McKenzie will be greatly missed.

I knew Mac for a short time while visiting Results for business trips. We became friends, we'd catch up and text every so often. He had a heart of gold, and always a great outlook on life. He will be truly missed by friends, and family. His stories always brought a smile to peoples faces. His laugh was contagious. Till we meet again buddy, watch over us and keep us blessed. We all know your up there with your mom, and Christ himself. God bless you.

I worked with Mac for 3years at Results. He always had a way to brighten up your day. He was very giving and caring person. We has plenty of talks and I know he is with the Lord Jesus Christ. Mac you are in a better place and we will see you again. I know you watching over all of us. What keeps me at peace is knowing that you now are with your mom who you loved greatly and the both of you are with Christ in peace. you will be missed!!!!!

Mike, we are so sorry to hear of this.  It is our sincere prayer that you will receive comfort that only the Lord can give.  You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

McKenzie worked at Dream Cafe and brought his unique style and youthful love of life. He would drive us all crazy sometimes with his lack of attention to detail, but the guests never seemed to mind! Some would say it was his good looks, but I think it was his pure heart. Some people we just don't get to see to maturity, but it never takes away from what they gave to all. McKenzie had a real light, and I can only hope that that light can sustain you during the trying times ahead. I am so sad for your loss, he was a good person, and he will be missed.

If I could describe Mac he was a very kind person and he always made me feel the best in his presence! The ones that knew him close knew what a sweetheart he was and a huge giver in life!!!

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Our prayers and thoughts go out to the family and Mac will be missed but certainly never forgotten.
