Melva Jean Kennedy

Melva Jean Kennedy, 81, passed away peacefully December 26, 2017 surrounded by family. Melva was born July 30, 1936 in Cleburne, Texas to Jack & Beatrice Cunningham. She graduated from Poly Tech in Fort Worth and was an accomplished Aircraft Electrician for 35 years at LTV. She took early retirement to raise and spoil her grandchildren. She was an Ordained minister and taught the word of God to prisoners and the elderly with her husband. Melva was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She loved life, loved to cook and was a joy to be around and will be missed by all.Survivors: Husband of 45 years, Cecil Wayne Kennedy. Children: Alvie (Vicki) Ricky Geeslin, Lisa Mays, Rodney W. Kennedy, Marcella (Carroll) Forbes, Cheryl Cashen. 10-Grandkids, 10 Great grandkids, 4-great great grandkids. Brothers: William Cunningham and Ray Cunningham. Numerous nieces - nephews and large circle of friends. Preceded in death - Son - David Ray Geeslin, Sisters- Virginia Harden-Jewel Cunningham.

Aunt Melva, we will truly miss you. You were the light of the family and a very loving person. God received another Angel when you arrived.
