Michael Joseph Brophy, beloved son, brother, uncle, godfather and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 19th at his home in Dallas, Texas. Born September 19, 1965 in Houston, Michael joined the Brophy clan through the miracle of a very fortunate adoption by his parents Thomas and Margaret Brophy. A graduate of Texas A&M University, he was a lifelong Aggie super fan who was rarely seen without a hint of maroon in his wardrobe. A devout Catholic, he served as an altar boy and Youth Ministry Officer at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Houston and most recently attended regular mass at Holy Trinity in Dallas. While he made his living, and left his mark, in the insurance business, his true passion was landscape architecture, a calling that brought him both peace and creative satisfaction. He was loved and admired by the people who worked with and for him nearly as much as he was his own close friends and family. In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his canine children Daisy and Toby, sister (and dearest friend) Susan, his brother Stephen, sister-in-law Danielle and nephew Ash, his nieces, Shauna Moon and husband Josh, Lesli Crossland and husband Grover, and great nieces Kylee, Khloe, Haley and Payton, and godson Jack, all of whom will miss him more than words can express for the rest of their natural lives.
