I was Michael's preschool teacher in Ames, Iowa.  I am hearing of his death almost a year later through the Ames High School Alumni Newsletter.  I am so saddened.  Never knew him as an adult, but I do remember him as a vibrant, intelligent and personable child.  I can just picture him now bursting through the door at Laurel Tree as if to say, "Now the fun can start!"  He was an amazing youngster and he'll always have a place in my heart. I will never forget him. His heart was much bigger then most. Truely a pure hearted man. Thats why he was loved by so many.

Hard to believe that Michael is gone.  So young, so much promise.  I pray for Dona and Dana.

I am sorry for your loss! He will be truly missed! I didn't know him well! But in high school is was always really nice!

We are so sorry to hear of Michael's death.  We have so many great memories of him as he grew up with our children in Ames.  He was a delightful young man and we know he will be terribly missed by all who knew him.

Mike and I were neighbors at 1900 Mckinney and The Taylor.  He lit up every day I saw that beautiful smiling face.  I am heartbroken. Heaven is a better place tonight.  Scott Deakins
