Michael Alan McMaster, 65, of Dallas, TX, passed away on January 23, 2026, in Gainesville, TX. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on April 4, 1960, to Darrell and Frances Patricia (McCormick) McMaster. He was raised in Dallas, TX where he attended St. Monica Catholic School through eighth grade and graduated from W.T. White High School.
He is preceded in death by his parents, whom he missed deeply. He is survived by his beloved son Gage Ryan McMaster, and siblings, Donna Marie Sclater, Michele McMaster Hart, Darrell John McMaster, Mary McMaster Maxwell, Douglas Matthew McMaster, his aunt Kathleen Pizzo, and John Marriott Jr., his closest friend and chosen family. He is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and pets. He had a deep love for dogs, starting with his childhood dog Peppy and later Fabio, both of whom he cherished.
Michael considered his hometown to be Detroit, the birthplace of his parents and his two oldest siblings, and home to all of his aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. Michael loved his family above all else, as well as his many friends throughout life.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and NASCAR, which he enjoyed with his son Gage. He spoke fondly of his years at St. Monica Catholic School, as well as attending Mass every Sunday morning with his father and siblings. Michael never met a person he didn’t like and was known for helping anyone in need. He often bought meals for the homeless and others. Michael will be deeply missed by all.
Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Calvary Hill Chapel, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Monica Catholic Church, 9933 Midway Rd, Dallas, TX 75220, 10am on Thursday, February 5, 2026, followed by a graveside service at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220. Flowers may be delivered to the Funeral Home.
