He is survived by his wife Shirley Owens, three sons and their wives; Michael D. Owens, Jr. of Cedar Hill, Texas, Robert Owens of Cedar Hill, Texas and Victor Owens of St. Augustine, Florida. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his grandson Cordale.
We hope that he has joined his friends and loved ones gone on before, and that he is again walking the Sulphur River in search of the perfect fossil.
