Mike Reyna, born March 1, 1938, in Dallas, Texas, went to be with his savior on June 18th, 2026, at the age of eighty-eight. He is preceded in death by his parents Melecio and Lucy, sister Candy Estrada, brothers, Gilbert, Jimmy, Manuel, and Rudy, and his son Gregory. He is survived by his wife of forty years, HuiChen, brother Fred, daughter Sherrie, sons Steven and Larry, Six Grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and sixteen nieces and nephews.
Mike grew up in the area around Love Field Airport. He Went to North Dallas High School. Mike traveled the world. He lived in Hollywood California, Bellingham Washington, Vancouver Canada, Tokyo Japan, Seoul South Korea, and Taipei Taiwan. Eventually, he returned to Dallas to the little house on Dorothy Street that has been home to so many members of his family.
Mike started his own company, Reyna Animation Co, and was successful in making television commercials. During his career Mike worked for all the major animation studios, starting at Hanna Barbara, and later at Marvel, Fox, Warner Brothers, and Walt Disney. Mike was a talented illustrator and Animator with 23 credits on IMDB and a Daytime Emmy.
Mike will be interred at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane in Dallas, Texas. His viewing will be Thursday, June 25th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 26th at Calvary Hill Funeral Home also at 3235 Lombardy Lane followed by a graveside service at noon.
