Marie Hendricks age 79 passed away on Friday October 1, 2021 in Plano. A funeral Mass for Marie will be held on October 12, 2021 at St. Marks Catholic Church in Plano at 10:00 AM. Reception to follow from 11:00 AM at McGivney Hall at St Marks. Interment at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
Marie was born on March 8, 1942 in Dallas Texas. She graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1960 and began working for Blue Cross Blue Shield upon Graduation.
Marie married Dwight Hendricks her high school sweetheart in 1962.
Marie is survived by her husband of 59 years Dwight Hendricks; her sister Joanna Tenpenny and brother-in-law Steve Tenpenny of Keller Texas; 3 children, Michele Parmelee of Plano, Jennifer Scarano (Joe) of Chicago, and Chris Hendricks (Dianne) of Pearland; 8 grandchildren Matthew Scarano, Andrew Scarano, Ashlyn Stevens, Emily Stevens, Matthew Stevens, Tiffany Hendricks, Josie Hendricks and Justin Parmelee, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was precede-cf in death by her parents John and Dora Horn of Dallas Texas; her sister Noretta Knowles and brother- in-law Bobby Knowles of Houston Texas.
Marie was a talented artist and photographer. She especially loved her garden and had a variety of flowers that changed with the seasons. Her yard was alway the talk of the neighborhood. We will all miss her beautiful smile, gentle touch and forever love that she showered on her entire family especially her grandchildren.
