Mimi Gilbert, was born November 18, 1938, in New York City, NY. Mimi studied piano at the New York School of Performing Arts. She passed away on March 17, 2010, in Dallas, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She had a gift for making friends and enjoying life. With boundless energy and imagination, she embraced her love of music, theater and hosting parties. Her many friends around the world and her family will miss her. She was a successful owner of a real estate management and development company for over 30 years. Survived by her mother, Fern; daughter, Heidi; son, Russell; grandchildren, Simon, Anna, and Rebecca; brothers, Eli and Alan; and nephew, Jonathan. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, March 19, 2010, in the Lefkowitz Chapel at Temple Emanu-El, 8500 Hillcrest in Dallas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Network of the American Cancer Society in memory of Mimi or her grandfather Nathan Ginsberg.
