Died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in Rockwall, Texas at age 90. Miriam was born in Des Moines, Iowa, but lived in Texas for 59 years. After graduation from Roosevelt high school in Des Moines, Iowa she attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Miriam received her B.S. from Howard Payne U. and her M.S. from Stephen F. Austin U.. Miriam taught 6th grade Science in DeSoto, Texas for many years. She attend Cliff Temple Baptist church from 1970 to 1990 and then Hideaway Lake Community church for the last 25 years. She was the wife of Dr. Chris S. Jordan, to whom she was married for nearly 67 years. Survivors include her sister Donna M. Fackler. Children include daughter Sharon Jordan Smith and sons Stephen Chris Jordan and wife Juliana; and Timothy Roland Jordan. Grandchildren include Christopher S. Jordan and his wife Jessica; Travis P. Jordan; Shelby and her husband Derick Sumerlin; and Brittany Smith. Great Grand Children are Tyler Orsino Jordan and Anna Miriam Jordan.
